Tyre Shop Manager

The Tyre Shop Manager will take part in daily operations and support the fitters and supervisors in the department. They will oversee and direct supervisors and tyre sales assistants, monitor operations and tackle inefficiencies, and make sure members get outstanding service. They will also prepare business plans and develop management strategies to hit sales targets.
Tasks and Responsibilities
· Provides training programmes and makes sure schedules meet the needs of the department.
· Evaluates and keeps a detailed record of each employee in the department.
· Makes recommendations to the Warehouse Manager on hiring, promotions and terminations.
· Oversees the flow of operations and makes sure no inefficiency gets in the way of the department running well.
· Takes part in sales, approves product refunds and register overrides.
· Provides prompt and courteous member service and makes sure the team does the same.
· Maintains a high level of teamwork and communication inside and outside the department.
· Works with the rest of the warehouse during meetings so that operations stay coordinated.
· Sets production requirements based on income statements built from weekly and monthly sales and expense totals.
· Makes sure department procedures, such as health and safety, are followed.
· Monitors equipment and calls out and schedules repairs as needed.
· Supports the management team with ad-hoc location security checks and alarm callouts as required.
Education / Training: GCSE standard or equivalent Licences / Certification: Full Driving Licence, Michelin Training Experience: A previous management role or tyre shop supervisor experience is preferred Knowledge / Skills: Management, teamwork, communication, organisational and IT skills needed. Maths and numeracy skills preferred.
