Do you have a passion for supporting young people and helping them re-engage with education? Tradewind Recruitment are currently looking for compassionate and flexible 1:1 Tutors to support Looked After Children (LAC) across South Tyneside area through personalised tuition.The RoleAs a LAC Tutor, you will provide tailored educational support to young people in care, many of whom may have experienced interruptions in their schooling. Your role will focus on helping students rebuild confidence in learning and achieve their individual educational goals.Key responsibilities include:Delivering individualised tuition sessions, primarily in English and Maths, either face-to-face or onlineDesigning and adapting lesson plans to meet individual needs, including EHCP and PEP targetsEncouraging engagement, confidence, and motivation through supportive teaching approachesWorking closely with Virtual Schools, carers, social workers, and education settings to ensure joined-up supportMonitoring and recording student progress and contributing to ongoing educational planningThe Ideal CandidateWe are keen to hear from individuals who:Have experience teaching, tutoring, or supporting vulnerable young people, particularly those in care or with SEMH needsAre understanding of the unique challenges faced by children in the care systemCan adapt their teaching methods to suit different abilities and learning stylesAre patient, reliable, and committed to helping young people succeedHold a full UK ..... full job details .....
