Tutor (SEMH experience)

Do you have the creativity, patience, and resilience to support a student at risk of permanent exclusion (PEX) to re-engage with learning?We are seeking a dedicated Alternative Provision Tutor to work 1:1 with a Year 7 student (soon to be Year 8) who is currently working at a Key Stage 2 level in English and Maths. This is a unique opportunity to build a meaningful relationship and help shape a brighter future for a young learner. This position is for 10-15 hours per week.About the Learner:At risk of permanent exclusion (PEX)Presents with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needsCan become emotionally dysregulatedHas interests in music, beat boxing, dance, and fashionNeeds a trusting, consistent relationship with a supportive adultAbout you:Minimum 1 year of experience in UK schools as a TA, SEN TA, Cover Supervisor, Teacher, SENCO, or similarExperience supporting learners with SEMH needsSkilled in de-escalation and emotional regulation strategiesExperience working with young people with additional needs or those at risk of exclusionStrong interpersonal skills and a nurturing, empathetic approachAbility to deliver or support learning in KS2-level Maths and EnglishCreative and adaptable, with a passion for engaging young people through their interestsKnowledge of safeguarding and child protection proceduresPosition - TutorContract or position start date - ASAPContract or position end date (if ..... full job details .....
