Functional Skills Tutor - English and Maths - Newton Aycliffe Prospero Teaching is working in partnership with local councils, SEND services, and education providers across Newton Aycliffe and the wider Tyne and Wear area to deliver high-quality, tailored one-to-one and small group Functional Skills support.We are currently looking for experienced Functional Skills Tutors to teach English and Maths at Entry Level 3, Level 1, and Level 2.About the RoleWe''re seeking dedicated and passionate Functional Skills Tutors based in Newton Aycliffe to work with young people who are currently not in full-time education.Tutoring sessions are delivered face-to-face, typically within community venues, alternative provision settings, or in the learner''s home environment. Each programme is bespoke to meet the learner''s specific needs, helping them build confidence and achieve their Functional Skills English and Maths qualifications.Position Details: Pay rate up to 30 per hour depending on qualification and/or experienceUp to 15 hours per week per studentStart date: October 2026 Location: Newton AycliffeDuration: ongoingAccess to our Resource Hub, which includes learning materialsAccess to CPD accredited courses and training Your role with us: Deliver one-to-one or small group tuition in Functional Skills Maths and/or EnglishDevelop and implement personalised lesson plans that address individual learning gaps.Monitor student progress and provide regular, constructive feedback to students ..... full job details .....
