OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Specialist Tutor / Learning Support Professional to work on a 1:1 basis with a young adult who has a range of additional needs.The role focuses on promoting communication, independence, and life skills, while maintaining a supportive and engaging environment that encourages confidence and personal growth. Supporting a smooth transition into post-19 education and adult life.This position requires a calm, patient, and creative practitioner who can adapt learning approaches to meet complex needs, ensuring every interaction is purposeful, inclusive, and positive.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver engaging, structured learning sessions tailored to GO''s individual needs and EHCP outcomes.Implement a total communication approach, using Makaton, PECS, visual aids, photos, and gestures to support understanding and expression.Provide 1:1 to manage communication, learning, and emotional regulation.Reinforce daily living and independence skills through practical, hands-on activities.Support sensory regulation needs and implement strategies outlined in the sensory and behaviour support plans.Encourage safe social interaction and participation in community-based or leisure activities where appropriate.Liaise regularly with family, school (Fox Grove), therapists, and the Education Lead at High Impact Academic Coaching to ensure a consistent and collaborative approach.Maintain detailed session notes, progress logs, and communication records in ..... full job details .....
