Tutor

Are you an experienced tutor or qualified teacher with a passion for helping young people thrive? We’re looking for dedicated and empathetic tutor(s) to work with children and young people currently outside of formal education across Kent and Medway. 

About the Tutor Role: 

As a tutor you will provide 1:1 or small group tuition to young people who are currently not in school due to a variety of reasons, including:

- Awaiting a specialist SEND school placement that can meet their EHCP needs

- Recent exclusion from school

- Physical or mental health challenges preventing school attendance 

Tuition often takes place in the home, local community settings, or online, depending on the needs and preferences of the young person and their family. 

What We’re Looking For in a Tutor: 

- Qualified teachers or experienced tutors 

- A background in supporting children with SEND, SEMH, or complex needs 

- The ability to build rapport and trust with young people and families 

- Flexible, resilient, and creative approaches to learning 

- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
