Prospero Teaching is seeking engaging, resilient, and understanding Tutors to support young learners in Wickham and nearby areas who are at risk of permanent exclusion (PEX). These students require personalised support to reengage with education and develop socially and emotionally.
As a Tutor, you will:
As a Tutor, you will work on a 1:1 basis with disengaged learners to:
- Deliver core subject catch-up (English, Maths, Science)
- Support emotional regulation and social development
- Build positive relationships that foster trust and motivation
About you:
- Experienced in tutoring or teaching (QTS/QTLS not essential)
- Passionate about inclusive education and personalised learning
- Skilled in behaviour management and trauma-informed approaches
- Reliable, empathetic, and committed to long-term impact

Essential & Desirable Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with young people
Trauma-informed and skilled in de-escalation and emotional regulation strategies- Desirable

- Hold right to work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide references upon request
- Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)
