Are you a dedicated, compassionate and resilient educator who thrives on making a difference in the lives of young people? Prospero Teaching are seeking to appoint a fantastic Alternative Provision Tutor to work 1:1 with a young person in Year 9, currently on a partial school timetable, who needs support to reintegrate into full-time classroom learning.About the Learner:At risk of permanent exclusion (PEX) and in need of a positive, consistent adult relationship.Currently working at a Year 6 level in English and Maths.Has SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs and may become emotionally dysregulated.Tuition will begin with a focus on engagement and trust-building, gradually introducing academic content.The goal is to support their transition back into full-time education in the next academic year.As an Alternative Provision Tutor you will:Deliver 1:1 tuition for 15 hours per week (flexible timing)Create a safe, supportive learning environmentTailor sessions to meet the learner''s academic and emotional needsWork collaboratively with other professionals involved in the learner''s careAbout you:Minimum 1 year of experience in UK schools as a TA, SEN TA, Cover Supervisor, Teacher, SENCO, or similarExperience supporting learners with SEMH needsSkilled in de-escalation and emotional regulation strategiesPatient, empathetic, and able to build rapport and trustConfident in delivering KS2-level Maths and English, and engaging PSHE contentPosition - Alternative Provision ..... full job details .....
