Job Title: Turning TechnicianLocation: LeicesterSalary: Up to 38,500 per annumShift: Rotating: 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm (Friday: 6am-1pm and 1pm-8pm)The CompanyThe company is a specialist manufacturer of high-precision components, supplying advanced optical solutions to a range of industries.The RoleWe are seeking an experienced Turning Technician to manufacture high-precision infrared and visible optical components using single-point diamond turning machinery, achieving exceptional surface finishes and micron-level tolerances.Key ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate diamond turning machines.Interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing instructions.Select tooling and adjust machine settings.Inspect components using precision measurement equipment.Maintain quality standards, production records and traceability.Follow Health and Safety procedures and support continuous improvement.RequirementsExperience operating diamond turning machines or CNC lathes.Ability to read engineering drawings and work to tight tolerances.Experience using precision measurement equipment.Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
