This is a varied, hands-on role involving manual turning and milling, one-off component manufacture, machinery repair, mechanical fitting and engineering improvements. You will work both in the engineering workshop and across the manufacturing site, producing and repairing components such as rollers, shafts, bushes, spacers and bearing housings. This is not a production welding role. Strong manual machining experience is the key requirement. Welding and fabrication experience is useful but not essential, with training available. WHAT YOU''LL BE DOING Operating manual centre lathes and milling machines. Manufacturing and repairing one-off components. Producing parts from engineering drawings, sketches or existing components.
