Anawim Birmingham, England, United Kingdom2 days ago Be among the first 25 applicants• Strengthen stewardship of Anawim’s existing trusts and foundations, deepening engagement and demonstrating impact to maintain strong, long-term partnerships.• Evolve and grow existing relationships, identifying opportunities to secure increased, repeat, or multi-year funding.• Drive new income by identifying, cultivating and securing support from prospective funders whose priorities align with Anawim’s services.• Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of Anawim’s services, impact, and future priorities to create compelling, tailored cases for support that meet funders’ specific criteria.• Present Anawim’s work with passion and clarity to confidently engage and influence funders and external stakeholders.• Develop high-quality, creative applications and deliver timely, accurate reports that outline Anawim’s approach, intended outcomes and evidenced impact, drawing on input from colleagues across the organisation.• Work collaboratively with teams to ensure funding targets are aligned with operational needs and impact data, supporting colleagues throughout project delivery to meet commitments and troubleshooting where necessary.• Monitor and deliver against Anawim’s trusts and foundations income targets, providing regular updates to the Senior Management Team and Trustees on progress, risks, opportunities, and budget changes.• Maintain accurate and up-to-date pipeline, forecasting and funder records on our database and shared systems.• Act as a professional, credible, and engaging representative of Anawim, building trust with funders, partners, and colleagues, and ensuring the charity is represented with integrity at all times.Strategic funding leadership• Stay informed on sector trends, legislation, and best practice in trusts and foundations fundraising, analysing internal and external data to identify opportunities, guide strategy, and strengthen impact reporting.• Contribute to the development of Anawim’s fundraising and communications strategy and annual work plan.• Chair the Senior Management Team fundraising group, ensuring funding aligns with strategic priorities and targeting grants that support core roles, project sustainability, and flexible or unrestricted funding.• Lead the development and use of strategic fundraising tools, including thematic projects and budget models, to maximise income and unlock additional resources.• Oversee funding coordination across services, allocating new prospects and ensuring restricted funding is managed in line with grant conditions and organisational systems are accurate and up to date.• Provide direction and coaching to colleagues on prospect research, proposal development and managing relationships with smaller trusts and foundations.• Deputise for the Head of Development where required.Organisational leadership and development• Champion Anawim’s mission and values, acting as a confident ambassador to external partners and stakeholders.• Contribute to strategic decision-making as part of the Senior Management Team, supporting policy development, organisational processes, and key initiatives.• Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement, promoting shared commitment and best practice across the organisation.• Apply project management principles to plan, deliver, monitor, and evaluate projects effectively, ensuring learning informs future investment and organisational growth.• Proactively manage personal learning and development, identifying opportunities to enhance skills and effectiveness in the role.• Undertake additional responsibilities as required, contributing flexibly to organisational needs.Seniority level
