Research Fellow in Cardiac Electrophysiology • 4 months fixed term contract
ResponsibilitiesBarts Health NHS Trust is a world-class centre for cardiovascular medicine. We are a tertiary referral centre with an international reputation for leading research in cardiac rhythm management. The Fellow will work in an established research role within the Cardiac Research Department at St. Bartholomew''s Hospital for a 4-month fixed term contract. The objective is to continue ongoing mapping studies, support new research studies, and develop their own research. Publication of research material and presentations at national and international conferences are expected. The post holder will provide knowledge and technical support to clinical and research teams and should be at a registrar level with significant experience in general cardiology, electrophysiology, and device therapy. Hands-on experience with invasive cardiac electrophysiology mapping systems is required; experience with the CardioInsight Non-invasive 3D Mapping System is desirable. The role offers opportunities to conduct clinical research and publish in the field while consolidating practical experience.

Time allocationThe Research Fellow will dedicate approximately 75% of time to Research and 25% to clinical activities, including outpatient and inpatient care and participation in catheterisation laboratory procedures.
