Day to day, you will be maintaining and operating the sewer network and its associated assets whilst carrying out basic mechanical maintenance and fault finding. The work involves confined space access, working in some of London’s most challenging Subterranean areas. What you’ll be doing as a Trunk Sewer Technician Complete planned, emergency and defect maintenance of the trunk sewer network. Physical maintenance of the sewer network and associated assets, e.g. penstock gates. Operation of plant and equipment. Cleaning, basic maintenance and fault-finding. Please note, for this role will be mandatory to work in confined spaces, at heights, and lifting heavy loads; training will be provided. Base location: South London - Greenwich Storm (SE108JL) Working hours: 38 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 6:30 am – 3:45 pm; with 1 week out of 5 on the night shift from 9:00 pm - 5:30 am; with opportunity to be included on the standby rota, for which you will also receive an additional payment.
