Trials Technician

Our client BAE Systems, a leading organisation in the defence and security sector, is seeking a Trials Technician to support testing and evaluation activities at a unique site in Ridsdale, Northumberland. This is a 14-month contract opportunity, working full time onsite for 37 hours per week within a specialist land systems environment.Key Responsibilities:Supporting the preparation, planning and delivery of trials for defence and land-based systemsOperating, inspecting and maintaining technical equipment used during trialsAssisting with the installation, configuration and testing of equipment and systemsRecording results, observations and technical information accuratelyIdentifying faults, reporting issues and supporting troubleshooting activitiesFollowing approved procedures, risk assessments and health and safety requirementsWorking closely with engineers, technical specialists and wider project teamsContributing to technical reports and documentation following completed trialsJob Requirements:Experience working as a technician within an engineering, testing or technical environmentPractical understanding of equipment operation, inspection and maintenanceAbility to follow detailed technical instructions and trial proceduresStrong attention to detail when collecting and recording technical dataGood fault-finding and problem-solving abilitiesClear communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a teamCommitment to working full time onsite in Ridsdale, ..... full job details .....
