Treasury Risk Manager, Vice President

OverviewGlobal Treasury Risk Management (GTRM), a team within State Street''s Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) department, is looking for an experienced treasury risk professional. The primary focus for the position will be the independent risk oversight and assessment of State Street''s liquidity risk. GTRM acts as the business-aligned risk function for the activities of the Global Treasury (GT) department, which includes managing the investment portfolio, asset-liability risk, liquidity risk, funding and liability pricing, capital structure, and rating agency relationships. State Street investors and clients rely on State Street to ensure risks are appropriately managed.
Responsibilities
Independent oversight of the bank''s liquidity risk, with the Treasury Risk Manager, Vice President focused on liquidity risk management.
Influence and engage senior stakeholders, and adapt to changing market events with liquidity risk implications.
Organize qualitative and quantitative information to develop an effective review and challenge framework in the liquidity risk area.
Understand complex concepts with a solid grasp of risk measurement and analytics, quantitative modeling, and risk management techniques as well as product knowledge.
Interact with teams globally and with senior management; communicate effectively in written and verbal form.
Undertake unsupervised research on areas of liquidity risk and maintain and enhance current risk management processes and policies for the liquidity risk program.
Provide independent review and challenge of the liquidity data framework and reporting, data and reporting change management, and raise and manage issues related to Liquidity Risk data governance and reporting.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
8-10 years of experience in a banking organization, ideally within a major bank.
Bachelor''s degree in economics, finance, or other related field required.
Master''s degree in economics, finance, or other related field, with quantitative background a plus.
Experience in liquidity data framework and reporting oversight, and reporting change management.
Analytical background and good knowledge of quantitative methods applied to finance.
Ability to manage large amounts of data to perform complex quantitative and qualitative analyses.
Excellent understanding of financial instruments and the balance sheet of a global bank.
Experience with liquidity risk at a banking organization.
Self-starter with willingness to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
Independent and critical thinking skills and strong financial acumen.
Team player with integrity and ethical standards; strong work ethic and highly organized to manage multiple deliverables.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
