Who We Are
Not Just Travel is one of the UK's largest homeworking travel businesses, supporting more than 800 Personal Travel Consultants and annual holiday sales approaching £200 million.
We believe planning a holiday should feel like a holiday.
Behind every great booking is an Operations team making sure the details are right, the arrangements run smoothly and our consultants have the support they need to deliver exceptional experiences.
As we continue to grow, we're looking for talented travel professionals to strengthen our team and help us take our service even further.
The Opportunity
You'll join an experienced Operations team that supports our Personal Travel Consultants throughout the customer journey, from confirmed bookings and amendments through to pre-travel arrangements and resolving unexpected challenges.
Depending on your experience and where you can add the most value, you could be involved in post-booking processing, supplier liaison, financial checks, travel documentation, schedule changes or more complex operational enquiries.
You'll need to be organised, confident and comfortable taking ownership, especially when priorities change or a booking doesn't go to plan.
We're also interested in experienced professionals who enjoy guiding others, improving processes and helping teams perform at their best, with potential opportunities for greater responsibility as the business grows.
What You'll Be Doing
• Process and manage travel bookings, confirmations, amendments, cancellations and associated documentation accurately and efficiently.
• Check booking details, supplier confirmations, invoices, costs and commission to ensure information is correct and consistent.
• Liaise directly with suppliers to resolve booking discrepancies, payment queries, schedule changes and other operational issues.
• Support Personal Travel Consultants with clear answers, practical solutions and timely updates.
• Handle more complex booking enquiries and escalations, taking ownership of issues through to resolution.
• Maintain accurate booking records and ensure all relevant systems are kept up to date.
• Work closely with colleagues across Operations, Finance and Payments to resolve queries and keep bookings progressing.
• Meet agreed service levels, quality standards and operational deadlines.
• Follow relevant travel industry regulations and internal compliance procedures.
• Identify recurring issues, share ideas and contribute to improvements in team processes and customer service.
• Share your knowledge and support colleagues in delivering a consistently high standard of service.
For those bringing additional leadership experience, there may also be opportunities to:
• Support the day-to-day coordination of a busy Operations team.
• Coach and develop colleagues, sharing expertise and helping maintain high standards.
• Assist with managing workloads, priorities and more complex escalations.
• Contribute to team performance, quality monitoring and service improvements.
• Help introduce new processes and more efficient ways of working.
About You
You've built a solid grounding in the travel industry and understand what it takes to deliver excellent service beyond the initial sale.
You're someone who gets things done, stays calm under pressure and takes pride in getting the details right.
You don't simply pass problems along. You investigate, communicate and do your best to find a solution.
You'll likely bring:
• Previous hands-on experience within travel operations, booking administration, aftersales, reservations or a similar travel industry role.
• A strong understanding of the travel booking process, including confirmations, amendments and supplier coordination.
• Experience identifying and resolving booking discrepancies or complex travel-related enquiries.
• Excellent attention to detail, particularly when handling booking information, documentation and financial details.
• Confidence communicating with suppliers, Travel Consultants and internal teams.
• Strong organisation and the ability to manage competing priorities in a busy environment.
• A proactive, adaptable approach with the confidence to take ownership of problems.
• A commitment to accuracy, service excellence and continuous improvement.
• A collaborative attitude and willingness to share knowledge and support others.
Particularly welcome:
• Experience using travel booking systems such as iSell, Vision or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of supplier invoice reconciliation, booking costs and commission.
• Familiarity with ABTA requirements and relevant travel industry regulations.
• Experience with ticketing, cruise, complex itineraries or premium travel arrangements.
• Previous experience supervising, coaching or training colleagues.
• Examples of improving operational processes, service quality or team efficiency.
Why Join Not Just Travel?
You'll become part of a growing travel business where your experience, judgement and ideas will be genuinely valued.
You'll enjoy:
• UK remote working or the opportunity to work from our Bournemouth HQ.
• A permanent position within an established and growing travel business.
• A varied role focused on service and operational excellence rather than sales targets.
• Opportunities to share your knowledge and contribute to how the team works.
• Personal development and potential progression into additional responsibilities.
• Bonus, private medical and pension benefits.
• A collaborative team that values ownership, communication and exceptional service.
