Trauma & Orthopaedics Patient Pathway Coordinator

OverviewWe are looking for an experienced administrator to join our friendly fracture clinic administration team within the Trauma and Orthopaedic department. This role will be based at St Helier Hospital. The post holder will support the provision of the highest quality patient care through dedicated administrative and clerical support and continuous improvement. Based in a specialty clinical team, the post holder will be the point of contact for all administrative and clerical issues relating to patients'' pathway of care, tracking and supporting them from referral to treatment and discharge. To provide a patient-focused service that supports clinical staff in the provision of efficient integrated pathways that enable the best use of resources and ensure that patients are fit, willing and able to be treated and that they are treated in the right place, by the right person, at the right time.
Responsibilities
Be the point of contact for all fracture clinic administrative and clerical issues relating to a patient’s fracture pathway whilst under orthopaedic services care, tracking and booking orthopaedic appointments.
Provide patient-focused administrative support to enable efficient, integrated pathways and optimal use of resources.
Support clinical staff to ensure patients are fit, willing and able to be treated and that treatment is in the right place, by the right person, at the right time.
Maintain high levels of patient care and clinician satisfaction by being an accessible, customer-focused and knowledgeable point of contact.
Qualifications and Skills
Advanced communication and organizational skills with the ability to use initiative and solve problems.
Excellent attention to detail and a passion for patient care.
Ideally experience with PAS IT system and MS Excel knowledge.
