About the Role
The Transport Planner role in the City Of London involves delivering technical advice for residential, commercial, and mixed-use development projects. Working permanently for a specialist consultancy, the position offers a salary between £35,000 and £50,000. Our client is a specialist transport planning consultancy with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality advice and solutions across development planning and infrastructure projects throughout the UK. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Transport Planner to join their collaborative and forward-thinking team.
This role will involve working on a diverse range of development planning projects across residential, commercial, and mixed-use schemes, providing support from initial feasibility through to planning submission and delivery.
The successful candidate will be involved in transport assessments, travel plans, junction capacity assessments, and supporting documentation for planning applications, working closely with engineers, local authorities, and private sector clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, and Travel Plans
- Undertaking junction capacity modelling and highway impact analysis
- Supporting planning applications through technical reporting and input
- Liaising with clients, local authorities, and multidisciplinary teams
- Assisting with site appraisals and feasibility studies
Requirements:
- Degree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Geography, or related discipline
- Experience in transport planning within a consultancy environment
- Strong understanding of relevant UK planning and highways guidance
- Proficiency in industry software such as Junctions, LinSig, or similar tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
