Transport Technician

We''re looking for a Transport Technician to join our team based in Wellingborough Depot, Northamptonshire. In this role you''ll support our multi-site operation by providing an efficient and effective transport and plant support function. Location: Wellingborough Depot, Northamptonshire - hybrid workingHours: Permanent Fulltime 37.5 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to usSalary: £28,000 - £32,000 per year + excellent benefitsWe are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role. What will you be responsible for? As a Transport Technician, you''ll be working within the transport and plant team, supporting them in maintaining efficient fleet operations across multiple sites. Your day to day will include: Managing and reviewing routine vehicle maintenance schedules to ensure compliance Coordinating with depot teams, suppliers and workshops to manage vehicle defects and bookings Conducting vehicle and driver gate checks, including weight checks as part of our audit process Assisting with the review and collation of drivers'' hours paperwork Processing vehicle and plant costs through the finance team whilst delivering excellent customer service What are we looking for? This role of Transport Technician is ideal for someone who: Has a good understanding of transport and fleet compliance, including Operator Licensing, transport regulations, and Health and Safety requirements.
