Transport Supervisor

Our client, a well-established and growing business operating within a specialist equipment and logistics environment, based in Cheltenham, has an exciting new opportunity for a Transport Supervisor to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis due to continued business growth.The successful Transport Supervisor should have: Demonstrable experience in a transport, logistics or fleet supervisory roleStrong knowledge of transport regulations, vehicle compliance and route planningProven experience managing and motivating drivers or transport teamsExcellent organisational, analytical and problem-solving skillsA full, clean UK driving licence; HGV/CPC qualifications would be advantageous In this role, the Transport Supervisor will be responsible for: Overseeing daily vehicle scheduling and route planning to maximise fleet efficiencyManaging in-house drivers and subcontracted transport providers, ensuring safety and complianceCoordinating deliveries and collections of specialist equipment and associated productsOverseeing vehicle servicing, maintenance, inspections and driver complianceMonitoring transport KPIs, costs and performance, identifying opportunities for operational improvement Our client is offering the successful Transport Supervisor a salary in the region of £35,000 - £40,000, working Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm, alongside the opportunity to join a well-established and growing organisation.If you are an experienced Transport Supervisor, Transport ..... full job details .....
