TRANSPORT SUPERVISOR
£32,000–£35,000 + Company Van | Nottingham | 40 hrs per week

We're recruiting a Transport Supervisor to join an established environmental and recycling business operating across Nottingham city & county.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced transport professional who enjoys managing people, solving operational problems and being hands-on within the operation.

As the Transport Supervisor in Nottingham, you'll support drivers across multiple sites and work closely with the Transport Manager to keep the fleet running safely, legally and efficiently.


What You'll Be Doing

• Managing and supporting a team of HGV drivers across multiple Nottinghamshire locations.
• Ensuring drivers meet required standards around safety, compliance and performance.
• Managing driver rotas, debriefs, observations and toolbox talks.
• Monitoring Driver Hours, WTD and tachograph compliance.
• Coordinating vehicle servicing, MOTs, PMI and other maintenance requirements.
• Carrying out site visits and vehicle checks.
• Dealing with day-to-day operational issues and supporting investigations.
• Working closely with the Transport Manager to improve transport performance.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for a strong people manager with experience in transport, logistics or fleet operations.

You don't need to have done exactly the same job before — we're interested in someone who can lead drivers, communicate confidently and take ownership when problems arise.

A Category C or C+E licence would be useful but isn't essential.

You'll also receive a company van and work across a varied operation covering multiple Nottingham locations.

40 hours, 5 day rota including every other weekend
06:00–16:00 or 08:00–18:00
