Transport Supervisor

Transport Supervisor required in Cheltenham. Salary: 35,000 - 45,000, Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm, Contract: Permanent Opportunity, immediate start available.Pertemps are recruiting for an experienced Transport Supervisor to join a growing business in Cheltenham. This is an excellent opportunity for a transport professional looking to take ownership of daily transport operations, ensuring deliveries and collections are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with all legal and compliance requirements. Working closely with senior management, you will be responsible for coordinating vehicle movements, managing drivers and subcontractors, maintaining fleet compliance, and driving continuous improvements across transport operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining high service standards while supporting the ongoing development of the transport function. Supported by a Transport Coordinator on-site, you will lead the Transport function from a Cheltenham perspective, working closely with the Head of Transport based in Staffordshire to manage the local fleet and drive operational excellence.Key DutiesOverseeing the daily scheduling and routing of vehicles to maximise efficiency.Managing and monitoring employed drivers and subcontracted transport providers.Acting as a key point of contact for drivers and stakeholders across the wider business.Building strong working relationships across departments and providing effective, solution-focused ..... full job details .....
