Job Type: Temp to Perm Immediate StartWe are currently recruiting for a Transport Route Planner / Supervisor to join a fast-paced and dynamic transport operation based on the outskirts of Cockermouth. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity with an immediate start, offering a great chance to secure a long-term role within a growing business.The RoleThis is a hands-on, varied position where you''ll play a key role in planning and supervising daily transport routes. Working closely with drivers and the wider operations team, you''ll ensure deliveries are completed efficiently, compliantly, and to a high standard of customer service.You''ll need to be highly organised, proactive, and confident in making quick decisions in a fast-moving environment.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and schedule daily transport routes in line with vehicle capacity and customer requirementsOptimise routes to ensure cost-effective and efficient delivery operationsAllocate routes and provide drivers with all necessary instructions and documentation Monitor live delivery progress and respond to delays or changes as they ariseMaintain clear communication with drivers and the transport team throughout the daySupport the Transport Manager with investigations, escalations, and compliance mattersConduct driver briefings Handle people management issues, ..... full job details .....
