We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Transport Planning Technician to join a London office. In this role, you will support the Transport Planning team by producing technical drawings and preliminary highway designs using CAD. You will play a key role in development planning projects, contributing to the design and delivery of transport solutions that meet client needs while adhering to industry standards and best practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare high-quality CAD drawings and plans for preliminary highway and junction designs.
- Assist the Transport Planning team with development planning projects, including site access, parking layouts, and sustainable transport strategies.
- Work closely with planners, engineers, and consultants to deliver integrated and innovative transport solutions.
- Ensure compliance with relevant design standards, planning policy, and local authority requirements.
- Contribute to the efficient management of project deadlines and workload.
About You
- Experience using AutoCAD (essential); additional design software skills are an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate technical drawings.
- An interest in transport planning, highways design, and the built environment.
- Good communication and teamworking skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work to deadlines.
- Previous experience in a transport or highways-related role (desirable, but not essential).
