Transport Planning Consultant / Assistant Consultant - Business Case Advisory at WSP in the UK and Ireland. The team is virtual, with a preference for time spent in an office where there is a Business Case Advisory team presence (Cambridge, Exeter or London).Responsibilities
Making the case for investment in proposed transport and/or land-use schemes by understanding the rationale to do soDeveloping objectives in the context of relevant policy and identified problems and opportunitiesDeveloping the evidence to support informed choices by clients and fundersDeveloping and applying Multi-Criteria Assessment Frameworks to ensure robust optioneeringCreating economic and financial appraisal frameworks consistent with HM Treasury and DfT guidanceProviding analytical and appraisal expertise to colleagues across WSPWorking collaboratively with colleagues and clients to assemble information and communicate clearly analytical findingsSupport the preparation of bids, fee proposals and project programmesUndertake management of projects as PM/ Deputy PMContribute to team meetings through knowledge shares and general engagementAct as a buddy, have a mentorPursue professional qualificationsWhat would be involved alongside the technical elements
