Transport Planner

We are currently seeking an experienced Transport Planner to join a fast-paced and dynamic transport operation. This is a key role responsible for ensuring the efficient planning and execution of daily transport activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Planning and scheduling vehicles and drivers to meet operational requirements
• Monitoring transport activity to ensure on-time and efficient deliveries
• Managing driver hours and ensuring compliance with transport legislation
• Handling any issues or delays and implementing effective solutions
• Communicating with drivers, customers, and internal teams
• Maintaining accurate records and using transport planning systems effectively

Skills & Experience:

• Previous experience in a transport planning or haulage role
• Strong understanding and experience in haulage
• Organisational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work well under pressure in a time-critical environment
• Good knowledge of driver hours regulations and transport fleet compliance
• Strong communication and IT skills
