About the Role

The Transport Planner position in Didcot involves delivering site appraisals, feasibility studies, and pre-application advice for a multi-discipline engineering consultancy. Your workload will cover transport assessments, statements, travel plans, traffic modelling, and junction capacity analysis. This permanent role offers a salary between £30,000 and £45,000 per day. You should hold a relevant degree, ideally with chartered status or working towards it. Experience preparing transport assessments and statements is essential, alongside familiarity with standard junction modelling software. Any highway design background would be beneficial. You will join a long-established firm with several UK offices, providing professional support across varied projects. This is a full-time position based in the Oxfordshire office.

THE ROLE

My client seeks a TRANSPORT PLANNER to join their busy team in their Oxfordshire office.

You will be involved with doing site appraisals, feasibility studies, pre-application advice, transport assessments, transport statements, travel plans, traffice modelling, junction capacity assessments and more.

THE COMPANY

My client is a long established multi-discipline firm of engineering consultants with several UK offices.

THE CANDIDATE

You will need to have an appropriate Degree.

You may be Chartered as a Transport Planner or working towards chartered status.

You need experience of doing the preparation of Transport Assessments and Transport Statements.

Some experience required in using industry standard junction modelling programmes.

You may also have some experience of highway design and Road Safety Audits.

Good communication skills are essential to deal directly with clients.

Salary is very negotiable according to you experience but likely to be between £30000 and £45000. There are also a good range of company benefits which includes pension contribution, cycle to work scheme, social events, free on-site parking and more.
