Transport Planner

Job Title: Transport PlannerLocation: BedfordHours: Monday to Friday 8:30-5:30, will change after 6 months'' probation period.Salary 35,000- to 45,000 My client is a family run general haulage business, priding themselves on the service they provide to customers and placing an enormous amount of emphasis on working as a team, drivers, and office staff alike. They are now looking for someone to join the transport team, assisting with the planning and routing of the vehicles. Relevant transport planning experience is not essential; however specialist haulage experience would be advantageous. We are focused on finding the right person with the right attitude and personality. Key responsibilities: Planning and coordinating specialist haulage movements across the UKManaging routes, schedules, and driver planningLiaising with drivers, customers, suppliers, and site contactsAdapting quickly to last-minute changes and operational demandsMonitoring deliveries and ensuring jobs are completed efficientlySupporting the transport team with day-to-day operations The Role: Excellent geographical knowledgeSociable and confident communicatorStrong listening skillsAbility to multitask and work under pressureAdaptable and able to react quickly to changesOrganised with good attention to detailAbility to work independently and within a teamFamily firm experience preferableSpecialist haulage experience advantageous Benefits: 35,000 - 45,000 depending on experience21 days holiday plus 8 bank ..... full job details .....
