This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is confident managing daily transport operations end-to-end.You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring transport activity while maintaining clear communication with drivers and customers to ensure service levels are met.Key ResponsibilitiesManaging and communicating with multiple drivers throughout the working dayPlanning vehicle routes and allocating work efficientlyLiaising with ports and securing delivery and collection slotsMonitoring ETAs and proactively resolving delays or operational issuesRecording driver start and finish times using a transport management systemAdjusting workloads and rerouting vehicles when requiredEnsuring PODs are correctly processed and matched to jobsUpdating customers on delivery progress and resolving queriesAbout YouPrevious experience as a Transport Planner or Transport Operator (essential)Strong geographical knowledge of the UK road networkExcellent communication and organisational skillsAbility to work under pressure and adapt to changing prioritiesHigh ..... full job details .....
