Transport Planner (PM Shift)CanterburyUp to £37,000 DOEPermanentWe are working in partnership with a well-established and reputable transport and logistics business based in Canterbury, who are looking to appoint an experienced Transport Planner to join their team on a permanent basis. This is a PM shift role, so candidates must be flexible and comfortable working later shifts as part of a rotating or set afternoon/evening operation.This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy, fast-paced road haulage environment planning a fleet of approximately 30 vehicles, consisting of both Class 1 and Class 2 HGVs.The RoleAs Transport Planner, you will be responsible for the efficient planning and coordination of daily transport operations, ensuring all deliveries are completed on time, in full, and in the most cost-effective manner.Key responsibilities include:Planning and routing a mixed fleet of Class 1 and Class 2 vehiclesOptimising loads and maximising vehicle utilisation across daily schedulesManaging driver schedules, allocations, and briefing requirementsResponding quickly and effectively to operational disruptions, delays, and changesEnsuring full compliance with all transport legislation including driver hours and WTD regulationsLiaising with drivers, customers, and internal teams to ensure smooth daily operationsMaintaining accurate records using transport management systems (TMS)Supporting continuous improvement in route efficiency and operational performanceAbout YouThe ..... full job details .....
