An exciting Transport Planning role with a well-established transport and logistics business in Trafford Park.

This is a busy, varied role for someone who genuinely enjoys the pace of transport, no two days look the same and you''ll be trusted to get on with things.

My client has built a genuinely down to earth culture and close knit team.

The role

You''ll be planning vehicles to hit on time deliveries and collections, adjusting schedules as customer and network demands shift, and staying closely connected with drivers throughout the day to keep things running smoothly.

When something goes wrong in a live environment, and in transport something always will, you''ll be the one troubleshooting it and keeping everyone informed.

• Planning vehicles and multi drop routes effectively to achieve on time deliveries
• Ensure all customer collections are achieved.
• Changing schedules to meet customer/network demands.
• Liaising with drivers and colleagues to ensure all day-to-day activities are met to the highest possible standards.
• Ensuring drivers are delivering effectively and reporting delays effectively.
• Trouble shooting critical transport related issues as they arise in a live environment.

• Multi drop transport and route planning is essential
• Comfortable working on your own initiative and genuinely enjoys managing your own workload
• Good with people, drivers and colleagues alike, and confident managing them effectively
• Solid computer skills, full training on their in-house systems is provided
• Calm and organised under pressure, with sharp attention to detail
• Flexible on hours when the job demands it

• -30,000 - -34,000 depending on experience
• 30 days annual leave including bank holidays, rising to 35 with service
