This is a great opportunity for a motivated individual with a solid background in general haulage planning who thrives in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.The ideal candidate will have strong organisational and communication skills, the ability to forward-plan resources effectively, and a confident understanding of haulage operations, vehicle types, and routing. This role will involve managing day-to-day transport planning responsibilities and acting as a key link between customers, drivers, and internal teams.Key Responsibilities:• Plan and route the general haulage fleet efficiently to ensure maximum vehicle utilisation and profitability.• Maintain high levels of customer service by responding to queries, providing updates, and resolving any transport-related issues.• Coordinate driver schedules, vehicle availability, and trailer planning.• Liaise with sub-contractors and internal departments to ensure smooth operational flow.• Monitor and report on abnormal loads, ensuring all legal and safety requirements are met.• Ensure accurate input of job information into internal systems and issue relevant paperwork to drivers.• Assist with quoting transport services and providing costings to customers when required.• ..... full job details .....
