This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Transport or Logistics Planner who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are quite the same. You''ll take ownership of planning customer deliveries across dedicated depots, ensuring fleet capacity is used effectively, customer expectations are met and transport costs are carefully managed. The Role Working closely with drivers, transport coordinators, sales teams, customers and third-party hauliers, you''ll be responsible for ensuring deliveries are planned efficiently and issues are resolved quickly. Key responsibilities will include: Planning customer deliveries and driver loads using electronic scheduling systems Planning ahead to maximise fleet utilisation and delivery efficiency Identifying requirements for third-party haulage and coordinating additional transport where required Working towards key performance measures including loads per day and cost per load Minimising empty running and identifying opportunities to reduce transport costs Reacting quickly to urgent loads, changes and operational issues Resolving queries involving drivers, customers, sales teams and transport colleagues ..... full job details .....
