As a growing organisation, we pride ourselves on our commitment to excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement.Key responsibilities of our Transport planner:Scheduling trucks and drivers to fulfil the requirements of all operating departmentsBeing proactive in seeking backloads to ensure empty return journeys are at an absolute minimumDeveloping operational improvements, focusing on cost reductions and customer satisfactionDeveloping and maintaining relationships with suppliers and internal customersLiaising with Department Managers and Co-ordinatorsKnowledge of operating costs to enable accurate pricing to our customersEnsuring compliance with Company CPC termsRecognising opportunities for service level improvement and implementing.Ensuring the fleet is operating within transport budgets.Where subcontractors are used, ensuring that only LV approved suppliers are utilised.Being fully conversant with the LV Shipping IT/computer systemAlways ensuring the safe Load distribution on vehiclesAt all times ensure compliance to LV HSSQE systems and procedures.What we are looking for in our Transport planner:Positive, enthusiastic, ..... full job details .....
