Role: Transport PlannerLocation: GlasgowPackage: 35,000 + Additional Benefits (Monday - Friday Days) The Role:This Transport Planner opportunity is with a fast-paced retail operation based in Glasgow, supporting a busy transport function with a strong focus on service, planning accuracy and operational efficiency.The business is looking for a Transport Planner who can operate confidently in a high-volume environment, communicate effectively with drivers and internal teams, and keep things moving when priorities shift. You''ll play a key role within the wider Logistics distribution and supply chain operation, ensuring deliveries are planned effectively and customer expectations are met.This is a role for someone organised, proactive and comfortable making decisions in a live operational environment. Key responsibilitiesPlanning and coordinating daily transport routes across the operationSupporting drivers with route changes, delivery issues and operational queriesMonitoring vehicle utilisation and helping drive transport efficiencyWorking closely with warehousing and wider Logistics distribution and supply chain teamsManaging delivery schedules and ensuring customer service levels are maintainedEnsuring all planning activity is compliant with transport regulations and WTD requirementsUpdating systems accurately and producing operational reports where required Key experiencePrevious experience as a Transport Planner within retail, distribution, logistics or a similar ..... full job details .....
