Transport Planner

Gi Group are looking for a Transport Planner based in Bristol who will be responsible for the effective planning and coordination of vehicle movements, driver schedules, and delivery routes to ensure a safe, efficient, and cost-effective transport operation. The role involves liaising with drivers, customers, and internal departments to ensure service levels are achieved while maintaining compliance with transport legislation and company procedures. - Monday to Friday- 08:00am - 18:00pm (flexibility offered)- 13.00 per hour- Temp to perm Key Responsibilities Plan and schedule daily transport operations, ensuring efficient utilisation of vehicles and drivers. Create and optimise delivery and collection routes to maximise efficiency and minimise costs. Monitor vehicle movements and respond to any operational issues or delays. Liaise with drivers regarding schedules, route changes, customer requirements, and transport updates. Maintain accurate transport records and planning documentation. Communicate with customer service to provide updates on delivery and collection schedules. Work closely with warehouse, customer service, sales, and operational teams to meet customer requirements. Investigate and resolve delivery issues, customer complaints, and service failures. Support continuous improvements within the transport operation.
