Transport Planner – Portsmouth (40 hours/week + on-call rotations)

Our client, based within Portsmouth International Port, offers you the chance to join a leading deep-water cargo terminal specialising in fresh produce and containerised goods. With direct access to the national motorway network and handling the majority of bananas consumed in the UK, we are the trusted choice for efficient cargo handling.

Join our dedicated team as a Transport Planner where you will lead the planning and coordination of our fleet, ensuring timely deliveries that meet customer expectations.

Have you worked for DP World, Freightliner, Xpress Ports, Goldstar, Maritime, GXO, XPO, GIST, Port of Southampton or Associated British Ports?

What we offer:

• Competitive salary of £32,000 - £38,250 per annum (approx. £615 - £735 per week based on 40 hours)

Key responsibilities and requirements:

• Plan and coordinate fleet utilisation to meet delivery schedules
• Monitor driving hours and ensure compliance with health & safety regulations
• sServe as the main point of contact for all drivers
• Previous experience in logistics, ideally within a port or fresh produce environment
• Strong knowledge of transport and driver legislation
• Excellent communication, IT (Excel/Word) and people management skills
• CPC qualification or C+E driving licence beneficial but not essential
