Transport Planner

This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and detail-focused professional with experience in logistics, transport, or warehousing to play a key role in ensuring efficient and cost-effective delivery operations. Key Responsibilities Plan and allocate deliveries in the most efficient and cost-effective manner. Schedule and assign work to drivers, confirming delivery and booking dates. Ensure customer delivery requirements are met and service levels maintained. Build and maintain strong relationships with drivers, customers, and internal teams. Produce delivery schedules, reports, and operational documentation. Liaise with Customer Services and Sales teams to manage delivery expectations and resolve issues proactively. Verify order information before scheduling deliveries. Manage workload effectively while handling customer enquiries across multiple communication channels. Maintain accurate records and provide information as required. Meet performance targets, deadlines, and service standards. Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and customer service. Uphold company values and deliver excellent customer care at all times. Criteria Previous experience as a Transport Planner or within a similar logistics environment. Strong understanding of transport-related IT systems.
