The successful candidate will be responsible for planning vehicle and driver schedules, ensuring efficient resource utilisation and maintaining excellent service levels for a major contract. The Transport Planner will be required to liaise with customers, drivers and internal departments to manage delivery schedules, respond to operational issues and ensure all transport activities remain compliant with UK legislation. This role will require weekend work with on-call responsibilities.   Job Description for the Transport Planner role: Plan, coordinate and optimise daily and weekly transport schedules within a busy general haulage operation.
