Transport PlannerSalary: 30000 - 32000Days: Monday - FridayHours: 07:30 - 16:30Responsibilities:Plan and coordinate transportation routes for efficient delivery of goodsCollaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfilmentMonitor and track shipments to ensure on-time deliveryOptimize transportation processes to minimize costs and maximize efficiencyMaintain accurate records of transportation activities and performance metricsCommunicate with drivers, carriers, and customers to address any issues or concernsStay updated on industry regulations and best practices in transportation planningMaintaining a professional attitude when liaising with customersPlanner to be on call when not in the office.Investigations with drivers.When doing sameday desk deal with incoming emails regarding POD''s, updating customer portals with times and POD''s. Qualifications:Proven experience as a Transport Planner or in a similar roleStrong knowledge of transportation regulations and best practicesStrong knowledge of the UK road networksProficient in using transportation management software and systemsExcellent organizational and problem-solving skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlinesNote: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position.
