Transport Planner and Loader

Loader and Transport Planner Bedford £30,000 per annum Permanent 6:00am - 2:00pm Are you an experienced Transport Planner or Logistics professional looking for a varied role where no two days are quite the same? We are recruiting for a Loader and Transport Planner to join a busy operation in Bedford. This is a hands-on position, split roughly 50/50 between transport planning and working within the warehouse so you''ll need to be comfortable getting stuck in physically as well as managing the administrative side of transport. You''ll play an important part in coordinating daily deliveries, working closely with drivers, customers, production and sales teams to make sure everything gets where it needs to be, safely and on time. Your responsibilities will include: Planning and coordinating daily delivery schedules Liaising with transport providers and drivers regarding vehicle requirements Working closely with Sales and Production to meet customer requirements Loading and unloading vehicles when required Ensuring vehicles are loaded safely and efficiently Coordinating goods in and goods out Checking delivery paperwork and ensuring orders are delivered Scanning goods onto vehicles and maintaining accurate records Managing delivery paperwork and chasing outstanding PODs Checking incoming deliveries against paperwork and reporting any discrepancies Supporting the smooth running and organisation of the transport yard Operating a forklift where appropriately licensed Maintaining ..... full job details .....
