Transport Operator Planner

Job Title: Transport Operator Planner 

Location: Avonmouth, Bristol 

Shift pattern: Monday to Friday with some Weekends, Moving to 4 on 4 off  

Salary: Circa £35,000 - negotiable depending on experience

Responsibilities:

• Dealing with multiple drivers
• Route Planning
• Communicating with customers and external depots 
• Booking delivery and collection slots
• Using a transport system for recording driver and load information 
• Liaising with drivers, being aware of actual and expected arrival times, updating stakeholders on delays 
• Rerouting jobs as and when is needed
• Checking all PODS are matched up with all the correct jobs on the system

Successful Applicants Will Demonstrate, 

• Previous experience as a Transport Operator 
• Planning Experience 
• Confident and clear communicator - written and verbal
• Excellent UK geographical knowledge
• Ability to work on own initiative
• Quick and efficient problem solving skills
• Organised at all times
• Flexibility to meet the demands of the business
