Job Title: Transport OperatorLocation: Wimblington Salary: CompetitiveJob Type: Full-time, PermanentWorking Pattern: 4 On 4 Off nights shift patternMain Purpose of the Role:The main purpose of the role is to ensure effective running of the day to day Knowles Transport fleet to plan and manage effective movement of freight around the country.Key aspects of the role include providing strong planning of the operational logistics arm of the business, effectively communicating with the customer service team to meet the demands of the customer and providing the best customer service possible to internal and external stakeholders.Please note that candidates must be a commutable distance from Wimblington to be considered for this role.Key Responsibilities:Fleet / Driver management:Ensure the effective running of the Knowles fleet through:Allocation of 100% of the daily plan against all drivers and loadsFollowing and updating the execution of the daily plan including systems updatesMaximising drivers workers hours within the Tachograph and WTD frameworkMaking decisions on how many vehicles are required to deliver shipmentsCommunication of any issues or failures that are unavoidable to the relevant customer/representative including out of hours communicationProactive management of the fleet - including making changes and replanning any issues with loads or driversCommunication of the plan to all drivers to ensure the drivers are all in place at the correct times to collect loads and ..... full job details .....
