Transport Operations Manager Required!Location: PortsmouthSalary: 45,000 - 50,000Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 6:30pm Our client is an established transport and logistics business operating a busy palletised distribution, haulage and warehousing operation from Portsmouth.We are looking for an experienced Transport Operations Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day operation, managing drivers, transport planning, customer service and overall performance. Package: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 6:30pm 45,000 - 50,000 per annumAdditional benefits discussed at interview Transport Operations Manager - Responsibilities: Manage the day-to-day transport operationManage and support drivers, warehouse and admin staffOversee daily planning, vehicle movements and deliveriesMonitor transport performance and resolve operational issuesDeal with driver and customer queriesWork closely with the warehouse and planning teamsMonitor vehicle availability, maintenance and downtimeEnsure drivers and vehicles operate safely and compliantlyMonitor driver hours, vehicle checks and relevant documentationIdentify ways to improve efficiency, service and operating costsManage operational administration and performance reporting Transport Operations Manager - Requirements: Previous experience in transport operations, transport management or a senior transport roleExperience managing drivers and/or a transport teamGood understanding of day-to-day transport operationsConfident dealing with drivers, ..... full job details .....
