Transport Operations Manager

AKW are recruiting a Transport Operations Manager to join their team at their site in Manchester. The role of the Transport Operations Manager will be to manage all aspects of a large, fast paced transport office covering full load''s, part loads and pallet networks, vehicle cost and profitability and ensuring all the correct operational procedures are being adhered to. Provide leadership and motivation to your team and complete Annual Performance Planning reviews to build an effective and engaged workforce resulting in improved productivity and sustained customer service levels. Lead on the recruitment and training and development of your department to ensure you have the right people, in the right roles, at the right time.
