This is a hands-on operational role, with the main responsibility being the day-to-day management and coordination of our drivers and drivers’ mates. You will be the first point of contact for drivers arriving for their shifts, making sure everyone is present, prepared and ready to go safely and on time. You will be responsible for supporting drivers throughout the night, dealing with any issues that arise and ensuring the smooth running of the operation until the morning team takes over. Alongside the day-to-day driver coordination, you will occasionally assist with allocating and planning drivers onto routes, helping to ensure the operation runs efficiently and in line with working time and transport regulations. We are looking for someone who understands the fast-paced nature of transport operations and has a good working knowledge of Working Time Directive (WTD) rules and drivers' hours.
