Transport Managerc£42.5k + Excellent BenefitsStaffordshireOur client is a leading UK 3PL Distributor and we are delighted to assist them in their search for an experienced Transport professional as they look to recruit a Transport Manager at their site in Tamworth, Staffordshire on a Monday to Friday basis. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will be responsible for the safe, compliant, and efficient running of the transport operation. You will lead all driving and traffic teams, ensure full Operator Licence compliance, and help drive operational excellence across the business.This role would suit a hands-on Transport Manager who enjoys being involved in both strategic planning and day-to-day operations.Key Responsibilities as Transport ManagerHold responsibility for Operator Licence compliance.Manage driver performance, attendance, training, and development.Ensure compliance with drivers'' hours, Working Time Directive, and tachograph regulations.Oversee vehicle maintenance planning and fleet compliance.Manage daily transport operations and resource allocation.Work with the traffic team to maximise vehicle utilisation and service levels.Maintain strong relationships with customers and pallet network partners.Monitor transport KPIs and implement continuous improvement initiatives. ..... full job details .....
