Transport Manager

Great opportunity to work as a Transport Manager for our client a well-established logistics company based in Yate, Bristol. They are seeking an experienced and compliance-driven Transport Manager to oversee and manage their delivery fleet. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional to play a key role in ensuring operational excellence. The rate of pay is £40,000 - £45,000 per annum. The full-time permanent role working fixed shifts, and the hours of work are: - 8am to 5pm Your Time at Work As Transport Manager, you will take full responsibility for the safe, compliant and efficient operation of our transport function. You will ensure adherence to all Operator Licence undertakings and UK transport legislation while maintaining high service standards for our customers. Key responsibilities: - Ensure full compliance with DVSA regulations, Operator Licence requirements, and transport legislation - Monitor driver hours, tachograph compliance (if required) , and Working Time Directive regulations - Oversee fleet maintenance, MOT scheduling, and defect reporting procedures - Lead, manage and develop drivers to embed a customer-first culture - Maintain transport KPIs, including on-time delivery, fuel efficiency and cost control - Conduct driver licence checks, inductions, and ongoing compliance audits - Investigate accidents, incidents, and implement corrective actions - Collaborate with warehouse and sales teams to ensure seamless service - Lead on full ..... full job details .....
