Transport Manager Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 DOELocation: HullJob Type: Full-Time, Permanent The Opportunity A well-established transport and logistics business with over 20 years of industry experience is seeking an experienced Transport Manager to lead and develop its transport operation. As the company continues to grow its UK and European presence, this is an excellent opportunity to join the leadership team and play a key role in driving operational performance, compliance, and future growth. Reporting directly to the Directors, you will take full responsibility for a fleet of 25 HGVs and 16 Escort Vehicles, ensuring a safe, compliant, and efficient operation while leading a team of drivers and support staff. Key Responsibilities Transport Operations Manage the day-to-day transport function, ensuring high levels of service and operational efficiency. Oversee vehicle utilisation, route planning, and resource allocation. Develop and implement processes that support business growth and continuous improvement. Monitor KPIs and drive operational performance across the fleet. Maintain accurate records, reports, and transport documentation. Fleet Compliance and Maintenance Ensure full compliance with Operator Licence regulations and transport legislation. Manage vehicle maintenance schedules, inspections, servicing, and defect procedures. Lead transport audits and implement corrective actions where required.
