We are recruiting for our client in South Norfolk who are looking for a Transport Manager to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established Team. Key ResponsibilitiesManage daily transport operations and fleet schedulingEnsure full compliance with transport legislation, operator licence obligations, and company policies Managing and supporting a team of HGV driversEnsuring full compliance with Operator Licence requirements, driver hours, and tachograph regulationsMonitoring vehicle maintenance schedules and defect reportingConducting driver briefings, inductions, and performance managementWorking closely with customers and planners to ensure efficient deliveriesManaging transport costs, fuel usage, and operational efficiencyInvestigating incidents and implementing corrective actions where necessaryMaintain accurate records and prepare reports for senior management RequirementsValid CPC Transport Manager QualificationPrevious experience in a transport management role within road haulage environmentprevious experience working with flat-bed, step decks and wafer trailers and attributing loadsStrong knowledge of UK transport legislation, driver hours, and tachograph regulations Excellent organisational and leadership skills Strong communication and problem-solving abilities Proficient with transport management systems and Microsoft Office DesirableKnowledge of compliance systems and fleet management software Experience working dangerous goods and ..... full job details .....
